In the absence of Dr Karl, does anyone know why a cup of tea tastes so much better made in a pre-warmed cup?

Does anyone know where I can find a good, cheap Chinese restaurant in the city? I live four blocks from Chinatown but I haven’t been impressed so far and I don’t know where to start.

Any suggestions?
